The Challenge

Marguerite Concrete, the largest union concrete contractor in Massachusetts, needed a website that reflected the scale, quality, and professionalism of its operations. Their previous website was outdated both visually and functionally, with a limited portfolio, a non-mobile-friendly layout, poor performance scores, and no modern application workflow. As a trusted contractor on major public and private projects, Marguerite needed a digital presence that would instill confidence in general contractors, support recruiting, and align with strict safety and compliance standards.

The Goal

Deliver a comprehensive website redevelopment that elevates the brand, showcases Marguerite’s extensive portfolio of work, digitizes their application process, and ensures full compliance with OSHA and union job site requirements. The site needed to perform well technically, serve multiple user audiences (GCs, job seekers, union reps), and provide a solid SEO foundation for future growth.

The Result

We partnered closely with Marguerite’s executive, marketing, and safety teams to deliver a high-impact rebuild that included:

Modern Design System – Developed a clean, responsive WordPress theme that positions Marguerite as a top-tier commercial contractor with strong credibility in the industry.

Portfolio Expansion – Created a custom project template and added 43 new projects to their existing portfolio (now over 65 total), with many projects featuring 20+ OSHA-compliant photos and detailed descriptions of scope, services, and outcomes.

Safety & Compliance Review – Collaborated with Marguerite’s safety and compliance officers to ensure all job site photos adhered to strict OSHA, union, and client-specific requirements for worker protection, PPE, and privacy.

Careers Portal Development – Launched a custom-built careers page with job listings and a digital application form, replacing the legacy PDF-based system. This new form significantly increased job application volume and streamlined internal processing.

Performance & Technical SEO Overhaul – Optimized site architecture, metadata, schema, and caching. Replaced outdated assets and improved PageSpeed scores across mobile and desktop.

Content Strategy & Rewrite – Reworked all page content to better articulate Marguerite’s service capabilities, company history, and union affiliations, while reinforcing trust and professionalism throughout.
